The Mir Castle in Belarus arrived today from the lovely Olga. There's some fascinating history behind this UNESCO site; originally built towards the end of the 15th century, it was deconstructed and then constructed several times.
Even more intriguing, the Mir castle was abandoned for nearly a century. Who leaves a castle!? Who?! "It was getting too cramped with the family; we decided to go for something a little bigger and spacious."
