#36 - Porta Soprana and Columbus House

This is Porta Soprana, which was once the gateway to the city of Genoa.
To the right, I believe is the house of Domenico Columbus, father of you-know-who.
During the French Revolution, the Italians imported the guillotine. It was utilized
in one of the towers until 1809. Mamma mia!

Grazie Irene!
